ERPNext Developer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced ERPNext Developer to lead the development, customization, implementation, and ongoing support of ERPNext across multiple business functions. This role requires a strong balance of technical expertise in Frappe / Python development and practical business process understanding across HR, Finance, Inventory, Sales, and Operations.

This position will play a key role in driving digital transformation, improving operational efficiency, reducing dependency on external vendors, and delivering high-quality ERP solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Development

• Customize and extend ERPNext modules using Frappe Framework (Python, JavaScript, Jinja)

• Develop custom apps, DocTypes, workflows, client scripts, and server scripts

• Create dashboards, reports, print formats, and role-based interfaces

• Troubleshoot issues, optimize system speed, and manage patches/upgrades

• Maintain clean, scalable, and secure code practices

Functional Implementation

• Gather business requirements and map workflows across departments

• Configure modules for HR, Payroll, Finance, Inventory, CRM, Projects, and Operations

• Conduct gap analysis and recommend process improvements

• Support UAT testing, end-user training, and rollout planning

• Prepare functional documentation and user manuals

ERP Administration

• Manage ERPNext hosting, deployments, backups, upgrades, and migrations

• Ensure system security, user permissions, and data integrity

• Coordinate with infrastructure/server teams for uptime and performance

• Monitor logs and proactively resolve issues

Integrations & Automation

• Build API integrations with third-party platforms

• Configure attendance devices, payment gateways, webhooks, portals, and automation flows

• Develop scheduled jobs and workflow automation to improve efficiency

Documentation & Governance

• Prepare BRDs, SRS, SOPs, technical notes, and release documentation

• Maintain version control and change logs

• Ensure compliance with internal IT governance standards

Requirements

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with ERPNext and Frappe Framework

• Good knowledge of Python, JavaScript, MariaDB, Jinja

• Linux / Ubuntu server administration knowledge

• Git version control experience

• API integration and automation scripting experience

• Cloud hosting knowledge (AWS / DigitalOcean preferred)

Functional Knowledge

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field
